I am 22 and have a good job. i have been thinking about getting a BA/BF Turbo.
i use to have an XF and to this day i still wish had it. i sold it and worked a RWD 1979 Mazda 323 up funny thing is after the Webber 36 Carby, GT40 Coil and NKG plugs, 2 inch Exhaust, Shaved head, 90 Pound Springs, New Valves and soon to have 25 - 65 Cam. it used more Dam fule then my XF but my god does it hammer but in the end the paints and its not the car i want to put cash into. cut a long story short i want to get a new car or one a few year old. i really want a BA/BF XR6 Turbo or XR8. i want to know what to look for i love manual but i have never used a semi auto ZF. im not a fan of autos but i hear they have converted many Manual lovers and is it true the first BA did not have the ZF. also if i was to do the Car up what a must to change. i have read getting the ECU Done injectors and some Cats are good starters. i want to ask you guys what do i look for when buying a XR6T i know to look for KM but what else whats a no go when buying one. most to my mates have old V8's i have a mate Finishing his XY Rep with a 351 Windsor. and a Mate with a Hard core XW Phase 2. i know about the old stuff but bugger all about the new stuff. one of the things i want to know is it hard to turbo a XR6 what sort of work is involved do you need to upgrade the ECU? but i spose for all the trouble i mite as well pay the Extra $$$ and get the XR6T. so yeah what to i look for and what to stay away from whats good signs and whats a bad sign. should i buy New from ford or should i get Used one. also should i wait for the new ford and get a Cheap XR6T. BTW if you read this thank you its a long rant but i dont know what to do. no one in my family has a car because there is a 11 year age gap they all got new cars 9 years ago so they have nothing older then 1995. :togo: |

Yeah, once the Orion comes out around Feb/March in 08, B-series prices will drop a fair bit. Dealers will prob. also be desperate to move the BF MKII's before the new models hit the floor. They have already started deals with premium command centre, 18's etc, 'new' bodykit etc for around $42xxx on the T's.
