Site looks good.
It's very "busy" if you know what I mean? Perhaps have just the links for the articles and leave the section under blank ie for the news section. Also, I think it would be better to adjust the width to fit 1024 x 768? People generally prefer to scroll down rather than across. Jason |

It can be seen as a little busy on small screens for sure. We made the decision to go more wide screen as pretty much all decent computers these days have widescreen displays, both notebook and desktop. We are looking to future proof it for a while so the decision was made to go 1280 x 1024, our stats also show that this is a very common screen size for readers of the general mcnews site. Certainly the bigger the screen the better the site looks and it will be somewhat painful on smaller and older screens but like everything I guess, you just have to tread a line somewhere around the middle and know that you can't please everyone. The way it is laid out with the offers on the right should mean that people on 1024x768 don't have to scroll horizontally at all to read any articles or use the site effectively. It's all compromises I guess, not like print where you just lay out a page and know that everyone gets the page exactly how you laid it out. Thanks a lot for your feedback.

Trev, it looks good. Screen sizing is perfect for my laptop at home, will check it out on the work pc next week which is not so wide-screen.
Here's what I like about the current mcnews.com.au - "Late Braking News" - one click and I'm up to date just by reading the entries for each article. - Image galleries opening in a new window, and hovering over an image gives some clue to the identity of the subject/s - Quick access to the racing stuff (the main reason I go to mcnews - the other place I go is motorsportforums.com) - The fact that most of a whole gallery each MotoGP race is devoted to the laydees - The wallpaper galleries Looking forward to the new site. OK to post the link to the ATV site to motorsportforums.com? There's a heap of Aussies in the bike section - as you might know, because your MotoGP writer is a regular I'm The Phantom there.Regards

Never been to motorsportforums, feel free to post whore the link away in all forums you frequent, LOL. I only posted it in this one and another bike one that I am a regular at as it is poor form to post such things when not a regular yourself.
And just for you Squalo I think an end of season series of MotoGP Pit Chicks of 2007 series of galleries where people can vote on the best of 07 might have to happen at some stage... Probably early next year, LOL.

hey mate, nice site,
Im acutally studying a subject at uni called www. and the interenet, all about creating pages and so forth, your site looks great, as people said before a little busy, but the one thing i would look at changing is the advertising banners, only have one instead of two, which also goes for this link http://www.atvpod.com.au/offers/ as you've got 4 of them:S but all in all im impressed! good work

In the offers hopefully if things kick off that will be fairly full so banners will be split a long way apart. They are just there really as placeholders to make it easier for me down the track.
