I know this may have sounded like a stupid question, but the reason I ask is because my car makes a ticking noise only after turning the car off.

When I first heard the noise ... went straight to the manifolds .... nope ... no leaks there .... is definately coming from behind the front bumper .... I hate noises that shouldn't be there ...... and it is getting the better of me ... next step will be to get behind there witha hammer .... jokes .... but I do want to fix it.

Buy a new carbon canister, but it'll do the same thing too. It is also refered to as "the Tickford tick".

it will end up getting the better of me sooner or later ..... the stocko exhaust and headers might make way for something a little more "interesting" that covers the sound .... ;)

Was going to say a lifter but if youre sure its in that area itd be the canister...

ignore the 6 pack boys, us V8 owners like a bit of noise coming from the bonnet! :hihi:

If it really drives you up the wall, check that the hoses leading to it arent touching the body anywhere, if they are itll drive you nuts with noise, and it doesnt hurt to insulate it with a rag etc. Mine doesnt make too much noise which is good, even if it did I dont think I could hear it anyway.......

No there isn't, you can't be flamed for being 100% correct. Daniel is just sooking and trying to act like he doesn't want an 8, we all know that he does though.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *breathe* Ahahahahahahahahahahaha

You wish junior, for some reason I don't think I'd have a problem beating yours. You have a PB of a mid 15 IIRC, almost 2 sec slower than mine was. How do you figure a 6 will beat an 8 with half the $$$? If you say turbo I'll just remind you now that the 8 would also love some FI for about the same $$$.
