Question AU Trans? Problem

I have a 1998 AU I6 that when overtaking, car has a bad jerking action.

I have taken it to a Trans Guy, he said it was a miss in the engine, since then i have replaced plugs, leads and coil pack, this didn't do anything to the problem.

Also when trans changes into 3rd gear and gentle throttle the problem also occurs, just not as bad as 75% throttle as when overtaking.

Has any one got any ideas on what this could be???

I dont want to keep spending money if I don't have to.

may be fuel related. Try fuel filter. I have had similar in the past & was caused by fuel filter clogged up.

Car is Dual Fuel. Does same thing on Fuel or Gas so dont think filter is problem.

Only does jerking in 3rd or 4th gear though, never 1st or 2nd .

I would have thought it was electrical I had the same problem. Ran the car in the dark with the bonnet and you could see it arcing on to the engine.
