Default See! I can get them both in

For those that know me and others that may have heard about my obsessive compulsive disorder in hoarding things and collecting cars, here is the proof that i can get two cars in my garage after all.

Since we have had the coupe, the poor XR was kicked out of the garage and i have not spent as much time as i should have on her.
The bonnet was looking a little worse for wear (chalky) and i knew it would be a matter of time before Whoosha spat the dummy and tell me to take it over for a little Whoosha magic.
Well we did that last saturday evening with him giving it a cut, followed by a hand polish. Sunday morning i was up at 6am as the end result on the bonnet motivated me.
After lightly giving the rest of the duco a clay bar, followed by 2 coats each of wet look polish and carnauba wax and after 4 hours or so of polishing, i decided that the XR has to be garaged from now on.

Thanks Whoosha, the missus is finally off my back (i hope)

It's a tight fit but their both in. I can never understand why people withe park a car worth thousand of dollars out side while storing stuff worth a feww hunderd dollars inside.

Jeez talk about a tight fit... almost as bad as my carport underneath the front balcony. There's barely enough room to get out of the doors because the support posts are in just the wrong place.

Reminds me of the simpsons where homer parks their car in the 'small cars only' carpark then they all have to get out the windows because the car is wedged in.

Well they do fit, just like you said they would ;)

You'll have to take some shots of the XR in the sun with all the polishing you did.

The coupe is probably worth more than the XR lol. Another reason is that if you parked the coupe outside it would more than likely not be there in the morning.

I cop the "why is the old car in the shed and the new (2000) car on the driveway" thing off the in laws all the time. I have given up trying to explain to them that my car is worth 6 or 7 times more than a 2000 corolla. It may be starting to sink in though , the father in law showed me an article in the paper about a guy that paid just over 1 mil for 2 gt's (one was a Ho). He is starting to believe me now when I tell him how much I could get for my car lol.

Throw the washing machine out and give yourself an extra foot or a cleanup in there would give you the same result.

I hope they are not your dice hanging on the coupe

Snug fit in there Mark. I would never fit between them, let alone be able to get in one of them. Your next challenge is not to bump doors.... :evil3:

Too true- they look great !!!!

BTW - that's what go-jacks were invented for !!!! We are looking at getting a 2nd pair (our garage is a bit bigger then that) to make it even easier....

I already have!, previously i could only get the coupe in.

To the right of the garage i have a 2 metre opening that increases to approx 7 metres at the rear and approx 6 metres in depth. That is going to be my new workshop & storage area, which will leave the garage near empty.

The angle of the photo is a little deceiving, there is probably 30cm between the two.
If i take a deep breath just before i get in, no problem.
Here's another pic,

Ooh that is a tight squeez. Only about 30cm between them, I probably wouldn't fit through, let alone get the door open and get them in. Sounds like you need a shed in the back yard for all of those boxes and things.

at least you got a garage, i've had to put up with a long driveway that allows about 7 cars in but no roofing, might have to look into it soon

Lol I thought the same thing when I read the title. Curiosity got me though. Was disappointed it wasn't as hardcore as what I'd thought :
