Isn't it the same design with the air scoops as an XB GT?

Doesnt look to good on an AU but nothing looks good an an AU lol... kidding.

Still its a good effort though to mould a GS bonnet into an AU bonnet.

Never said is was a hloden rip off, but it does look more monaro then xb. It doesn't have the inserts of the xb, not only that but due to the general shape of the bonnet makes it easier to identify with a monaro bonnet then an xb.

I think colour coded and on slicker & modified example of an AU, it would look good.

It looks good. I would stick it on with a nice bonnet scoop.Looks alot better than the barren and half assed bonnets by ford in recent years..bulges without a scoop or slot..Bahhh!!!

I don't think it's such a bad concept. It would look a lot better on a nice AU XR, as I feel it would match the twin headlights more. I wonder if the flutes are functional? It's about the same as putting a shaker on. Personally, if I was to go a custom bonnet, I would go shaker all the way, and somehow make it work as a cold air intake.

I like the look of it. Would it fit on an AU XR8 ser 3 with the standard grill ?

Well something else that i say on ebay the other day.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-Au-Custo...QQcmdZViewItem

Tis an au with the monaro scoops on the bonnet.
Looks better than the GS on in my opion.

Cheers

eeeeewwwwww.....painted one maight look good, but the black/carbon fibre/whatever the hell that is makes the AU look like 2 tonnes of crap

Just my opinion - but i do enjoy the standard look, or subtle bodykit type modifications...i hate ricer/tuner crap

That car look gorgeous! At $8k, it's a pretty good bargain. I may have to watch it and see what happens to it. I wish I had a $10k float for this type of thing, lol.

I particularly like that bonnet.
