Hey guys. Just after some advice on changing the air intake on my car. I was going to get a wide mouth snorkel for it but also want to get rid of that restrictive piping from the airbox. My car is a six on gas so would that mod make much of a difference on gas or will it only be good for petrol. What kind of piping is best and where is a good place to get it from? Is it possible to get this in kit form from somewhere that would have elbows etc included? I'm not interested in spending big bucks on this so I'm not really interested in anything extravagent.

are you looking to do your exhaust at the same time? if so I'd say the best intake/exhaust mod would be a turbo. If your just doing the intake, best option is a blower. Anything else on its own for the intske will provide minnor increase, more then likely only noticable to you because you fitted it.

the stock piping isnt all that bad.
the super-dooper G&D boxes still utilise that "restrictive factory piping". remember, the lesser the diameter, the higher pressure the air will be in there, and therefore will move quicker. if you put a massive intake pipe there, the air pressure will be less as will the airspeed. that being said, chrome intake piping does look damn good.

Sorry if I didn't explain this better. I don't want to change the induction I just want to make it more free flowing from the snorkel to throttle body. Exhaust has been done too.

Heard other guys say that changing the piping gives it a bit more power and looking at it it's pretty narrow at the airbox. So has anyone that has done this noticed a difference?
