That car was purely for "fanboy" satisfaction.... It doesn't surprise me one bit that it wont get to production, look at it another way.. how often have Holden concept vehicles ever seen the light of day? I think Holden fans will soon start to see through the bells and whistles and get a bit immune and sick and tired of Holden "crying wolf" or failing to deliver with every concept..

I reckon the Coupe 60 looked good. About the only Holden that actually made me say, "I wouldn't mind one of them!"

Holden on the other hand seem more prepared to spend money on intangibles that can't be easily linked to sales or profit.. if at all. Ive always said Holden is the brand for the "fanboy" or school yard enthusiast.

Fundamental approach what aload of crap, I would say the Ford design team could'nt even come up with something like the Coupe 60 or the 4 door thats going into production now as they have far to much of a conservitive approach to what we as a customer want. As for profit i really dont think if Ford started to show us what they were capable of when it come to Concepts that this would have a real effect on there profits as they are behind Holden anyway |

I dont need a Holden, I will be happy with my Ford once they replace my engine as they have replaced the trans and i have replaced everything else that i wasnt happy with, diff, suspension, interior, hard top, just to name a few. Maybe you class this as irrational bagging of Ford i dont know, when i spend my money on a Ford i expect it to be up to it i dont know about you or how much money you have spent on Fords in the last 4 years but i have not been happy with my outlay and i have every right to not be happy. I have never owned anything but Fords in my 11 cars so dont talk to me about going and buy a Holden to put you all out of your Misery, Ford should be concentrating on building better cars and you should not be so 1 eyed when people have there own opinions. Eccentric model demands are confusing & illogical, please explain |

If you're not happy with your car take it back and sort it out with the dealer. Ford are concentrating on building better cars, we are just about to get a brand new model, lets see what its like first hey? You keep claiming to represent the broader buying public with claims that Ford don't listen to their customers and are too conservative, well guess what, 95% of the broader automotive market are just average non enthusiast buyers who want nice conservative cars... We're all enthusiasts, we have different and more demanding tastes, but we represent a very small minority of buyers..... If Ford only listened to Internet forum enthusiasts they'd have gone broke years ago...

I wish people would wait until the FG FPV is released before directing so much negativity at Ford.
I firmly believe the FG will be something special. |

They are not the success story some people would make them out to be, and since the aussie dollar is so high and the prices of their exported Pontiacs is so much cheaper than here, I doubt whether they even make any profit on them at all. |

I am talking about the experiences i have had with both of my BA Falcons a 03 GT and a 04 XR8 Ute they have both been nothing but headaches and for the $100,000+ i have spent this is not good enough. I dont really like the look of the FG Falcon for which i am well within my rights to have an opinion and i am not the only one on this forum and also this planet that isnt all that happy with the looks. I dont know where i keep claiming to represent the broader buying public i am putting forward my own thoughts about where i think Ford/FPV lack things and that is listening to the customers who buy there cars. The reason they have FPV is for us enthusiasts isnt it, the people that actually buy the cars not just get on here and dream and whinge about it. If you have actually had one of these cars and have not been happy you have the right to put your veiws forward. Have you owned an FPV as i would be interested to here your thoughts on the car compared to others you have owned or driven? |
