FG XR8 5.9 to 100 14.2 1/4mile
FG GT 5.9 to 100 14.1 1/4mile It's great to see that the ol 290 has the times as the 315 Boss. Go the 290. With time the 315 may come alive. : The Turbo is the quickest no suprise there. Just as well it's a Ford. :evil3:

Its great to see the 290 still goes as hard as the 315, once a few FG GT's are out there and get modified i think we will see how hard they really go!

Good times for the XR8. Disappointing for the GT with a 20K to 30K price premium

If those results are true thats a really disapointing result for the GT. I dont believe the GT is slower than the XR6T?
I would have thought FPV would have insured that there cars were faster than Fords XR range? So Wheels are saying that all that development in the 315 Boss is worth nothing?

Believe it.....the 315 will struggle to better the XR6T regardless of loosening up or not. Remember that the new XR6T is basically a reworked BF Typhoon. Those figures for the GT are abysmal.......as they always are for a new BOSS motor...........I'm tipping consistent mid to high 13's when run in..........hopefully. Funny thing here is that the 290's were running the same times when they were new as well................what is going on here............Is the FG 200Kg heavier than the BF............ |
