Default Some quick Spring advice

Dudes,

Just about to buy some springs for the XR8 (Most likely Kings as Lovell's don't do a SSL option for XR)

Question: Do I need to do the ole' SSL in the front and the Ultra Low's in the back to keep it even ? (Even though King's part number for U/Low are the same as the SSL in the rear.. and the front for that matter)

remember the spring designation is for standard nmodels not XRs which already have lower springs from the factory.

So for the XR, the front springs you need are SL, not SSL unless you put short stroke shocks in (and want to scrape speed humps LOL.)

However you can go to SSL for the rear to make the car ride level - remembering that you do need to put short stroke shocks in if you do.

My car sits even with SSL's all round, and does another members car (st33ly)

Here's a pic of my old car with the same springs...

And here's the current ride...

My only gripe is some speed bumps are a bit vicious and the ride quality is questionable. And if you have 18's get the guards rolled!

My car is on Kings SSL's (its on AUfalcon.com, no need to put it here), however, because mine are newer than Nutter_X's mine are a progressive design and don't sit quite as low as his. And you don't need the guards rolled with 18" wheels.

I actually had to take half a coil off my SSL's to make the car sit level with them and it only scrapes on full lock if you go over some harsh bumps. Ride quality is harsh, but ok. Might be different with IRS though.
