I thought you meant the Volvo was the ute.

You can always put the AU ute on gas to make it cheap to run.

Shouldn't the bullbar be called a Hopper Knocker ROObar. :

You can always sell the missus.

Love the fairmont, nice colour, not sold on AU's all that much even though that is a massive bullbar and looks good. Buy the ute, you cannot beat a good ute and keep the fairmont and sell her calais with her mother in it!! Actually take her mother out of it, you wanna get something for it!!

Buy the ute and throw her in the back. If you can still hear her complaining over the music and the exhaust note, throw her out.

You can't get that ute, it doesn't have RM Williams stickers all over it or insanely large mudflaps. You'll get laughed outta town.

Couple of large potholes on the country roads should take care of that for you.

Get the ute, sell the Calais.

Are any of you actually married?! Come to think of it... are you? Or is "the missus" her nickname?

If you go about it the way these blokes are saying, youll be sleeping with the ute!

Trick is, to make your "missus" WANT a ute! Then there'll be no stopping the purchase. Get hundreds of pics of utes you like, and ask her opinion on each of them, wht she likes, what she would change (within reason) etc. Once she catches the bug, Get rid of the Calais, give her the Fairmont. Then to seal the deal, ask what she wants to do to the Fairmont.

I did this, my wife dispised car lovers (go figure). Now she is the one driving the BA project Im doing!

Make her feel like she's the important one, and youll get what you want... sooner or later.

Well said bloke. Just ask my wife.... the Au is hers.
I just play with it...... She gets a say about what is done
with a little seed planted by myself....lol. Don't get me
wrong Nel loves her cars which makes it easier but if
you get them involved and appease them at the same
time and it's a win win situation.

Btw guys she will have read this by the end of the day
and I'll be in the crap. But take this man's advice on board.
It'll work every single trime.

Hopper Knocker make good bars. I bought one second-hand to fit to my old XH, it was two cars old by the time I bought it and it was still in top shape.
Saved me a lot of coin, thats for sure!
Only things I couldn't cop about the AU.... the tail-lights, the Longhorn sticker & those cheapo looking spotlights on the rollbar (No expense spared my butt).
All of those could be fixed quite easily.

Buy what you want and be done with it....I been married for 12 years and I just tell her what I am buying, not ask, if you ask, they always have the option of saying no.

If you are not married who cares anyway, it is your car, I bet you do not like her driving a crappydore, but she still does, so how can she tell you what to drive.

Or go one better get rid of the women, and keep both cars, another one will not be far away.

What’s wrong with that? If you were to get a tape measure out and actually measure the area of the cargo tub, you’d find that it has more than twice the room of the average sized dog house. Also, you don’t hit your head as much getting it.

Tell her that you know what’s good for her, and what’s good for you, is good for her. If she still doesn’t agree, further counselling will be required. Just be sure that this conversation takes place in a room that doesn’t have any objects that could turn into projectiles. You could lose an eye.

Good advice, just explain that a ute is a bloke thing and that she probably wouldn’t understand. A bit like “secret woman’s business” but in reverse.
Then explain to her that she’s on thin ice and there are plenty of other good looking’ chicks around WHO LIKE UTES.

After you tell her this, she will see the error of her ways, cook you a lovely dinner, provide a nice cold beer, put a comfy pillow behind you head and apologise for all of the times she’s been wrong.

You’ll have that ute in no time.

Please send your cheque or money order to “Full Noise’s marriage counselling, dept recovery and homeless men’s shelter”.

Honestly mate, This missus of yours is definately not in touch with your needs as a man. She obviously doesn't understand how her driving around in a VN damages your credability as a serious Country Boy and only cares about her sentimental feelings.

There really is only one answer............. Dump her a week before your next local ute muster, Go to the Muster in that hot lookin ute and find a real woman that will love the ute, out drink you on Bundy and love sex outdoors.

sex is not important ...... no one drinks my bundy !!!!!! and just buy what you want cause your already in ... just the depth that varies . I am stubborn like that ....but it does help if she likes the idea , find why she would want it etc. she can buy more groceries ... more slabs of beer ..... bargaining is your friend
