Default Tonka Shop Gone!

Found out thi smorning when I got to work that the Tonka Shop in Kingswood burnt to the ground on Friday arvo.
Checked it out on the way to a job and yep the place is burnt to a crisp and has Police on Standby 24/7 at it.
Has anyone heard if it will be reopened at all or is Reidy gunna walk away from it?
Hope the other early Ford suppliers around Sydney dont put their prices up cause there is one less competitor at the moment and a crap load less stock around.

Form what I have heard will not re-open, gone for ever along with hundreds possibly thousands of rare and irreplaceable GT parts, lots of history gone now.

Not sure if there were any Gt's in it when it burned.

It seem like a shame as I have sourced many a rare part from there, he knew how to charge, but a lot of the time it was the only place that had them available.

Rumours and police presence indicate suspicious circumstances.....only time will tell I guess.

Yeah it is a shame. I used to deal with John many many moons ago when he was working from home.
He certainly knew how to charge but on the same note he did look after me very well with bits over time. There are rumours aplenty circulating , the truth will come out in the wash.

In todays market not alot of business have ample sums insured, they look at the bottom line and wil reduce a sum insured by $100,000 on fire to save a couple of $100's :

Yep I heard a rumour that a GT that the owner had for sale at the all ford day was in the shop at the time.
The other rumour is the fire is being treated as suspicious , but not for what people would automatically think as the other rumour is basically the store and stock was uninsured.
All rumour and speculation but.
