Talking New head unit!

Hey guys, got my new head unit today and am loving it! The ipod cable is running from the back into the glove box so you can't see it. Thanks Woody for putting it in for me your such a good mate

That pocket that's in there atm is broken i have a brand new one waiting to be put in, but we have to take it all out again as we have to get a proper globe for the clock light.

Cheers.

Yeh, its alot nicer looking then alot of the other head units out there and comes with a lot of useful features. Only good thing about having my pioneer one stolen, is ive now got an Alpine one worth twice as much!! plus i already had an alpine Type R sub and wanted too keep all my gear Alpine.

No worries Brent,
When we change the clock globe, I'll pull it out a bit from seeing those pics it sitting back way to far!

Anyone for any ideas on the bracketing for aftermarket head units in these type of consoles their wasn't a whole lot places to secure the deck in.

Woody, i screwed a strip of flat packing strap steel under the headunit cage which holds the unit up really well. I also put two holes in the headunit cage so i can still pull the dash apart with the cage in. Can get a pic tomorrow if you like.

Hey, that looks really nice, it matches with the touches of blue you have in the interior. Looks good.

Yeah in the second pic you can see it, its just a piece of pallet strap (i think thats what i used), bent into a --______-- shape then screwed to the little receses that the srews go into that hold the facia in. Then i put two holes in the head-unit cage so i can take the dash apart and leave the cage in.

What speakers/amps are you using it with? How does it sound? I'm looking at this deck as a replacement for my dead 6 disc stacker.

Atm i'm using a Cadence 4channel amp running the 12" JL Audio sub and front splits and the back speakers are just running off the deck. I'm planning on getting another 12" sub and another amp so i can run all speakers off the amp.
