Default Bloody halloween

So I was having a nice nanna nap just now when someone goes and knocks on my door, thinking it was the old man dropping round coz he's heading back up north tomorrow I didn't think too much of it.
Still half asleep I go to open the door where I got the bejesus scared out of me!

TRICK OR TREAT!@@#*&(^$#@@$!

I nearly fall over in shock and start mumbling I..I got no candy see....next door!

SLAM

Damn kids

Isn't Halloween on the 26th? I didn't know we even did it here

I've ignored the door all night, even though they can clearly see/hear the TV through the loungeroom window next to the door. Stupid American tradition.

I put signs up on the door this year. A few years back when i had no treats, the little buggers knocked of my front door bell button and another time had my letter box vandalized.

The tradition in America is that if you are home and welcoming trick or treaters, then you leave your front porch light on.
That is what the people did last year when I was over there. Maybe we need to introduce that over here as well.

Not a fan at all.... actually... totally against it.

They talk about it on the radio like it is a bloody Aussie tradition. We are not the 51st state, lets keep it that way.....

Well I have upset quite a few of the moronic parents that walk around with their kids tonight. Simply by asking the kids what they are celebrating and why? Told them I would give them a chocolate bar if they could tell me what the meaning of Halloween was all about..

I still got my chocolate bars sitting nicely in my frij and got told off by a few parents for being so mean, all I could do was laugh :

Good thing about living in this street at the moment is that if some mongrel comes anywhere near the yard the rotti a few doors down goes mental, so on goes the light and off they scamper

In retrospect answering the door wearing blue overalls, large chemical gloves and a respirator that covers most of my face and sunnies screaming WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT probably wasnt a good idea, but geez i got a good laugh out of it. i didnt know tiny skeletons could run so fast.

A friend just rang me and told me about her being threatened by some father because she told the kids that as far as she was aware we were all in Australia, not America. That if they wanted to celebrate this rot then they should all disappear over to the States (kid runs off crying) :

OMG gotta love this rubbish.

Oh come on you pack of meanies ! ..lol , I hate halloween too and don't agree with it , but if its something to keep the kids happy then so be it ! , it's only once a year !.

Maybe I'm just more sympathetic towards them cos' I dont have kids ! ..lol, but gee a bag of $2 lollies spread out between the kids to keep them happy is all good imo, regardless of what its celebrating / even if it is a yankee tradition. cheers.

HAha funny as pics.

Had a couple of 13 year olds come this arvo and trick or treated. I asked em arent you a bit old for it? They replied just that everyone was doing it.

So for a joke a rock up with a spud and an onion and they were more confused. They didnt want them.
