Default FG F6 at Motorplex

At the motorplex last night a stock FG F6 3000k on the clock ran a 12.89 first run and finished off the night with a 12.69. Impressed the crap out of me

This begs the question..... could a W427 in the right hands go 12.3 or better?

Because the way I see it, there is not half a second between these cars like the journos say there is.

The Clubby would definitely be good for a 13 flat. There was one on LS1 that did it. They may even do a high 12 given good conditions.

The Boss on the other hand should be almost the same. 13.4 has been achieved by a mag.

The press use GPS thus results would be considerably slower than what is achieved at the track. Timing starts when car moves, but at the track you can get a little "roll start" before you cross the beam. Press usually don't have the grippy surface for launching like we do at the track.

That time doesn't surprise me to be honest (Mauz did sub 13's with the stock BF F6), I expected that but I'm not playing this effort down either, as I'm fully aware of how brutal the F6 is. I do believe there is more in it. I wouldn't be surprised if that time for a stocky is improved on. But where will you find a drag-head willing to keep his/her car stock these days? A turbo owner as well.
