At Oran Park this afternoon Jeremy Gray in the Super Hoist Plus / Jeremy Gray Racing FG XR6T won the first race of the NSW Championship for Combined Touring Cars with a fastest lap of 1:19.6872 - not exactly sitting around on the GP circuit for a production car.
Is this perhaps a FIRST for the FG XR6T??? Not sure. He was followed by EIGHT HSV's and an Evo. Well done mate!!! With the Ray Hislop Falcon wining at the Targa Class at Symmons Plains ahead of Lambos and all sorts of sports cars not a bad weekend all round so far. Just need the V8SC's to come good tomorrow at Symmons Plains. For full results see http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?31/05/2009.ORGP.R7 |

Thats a damn good effort, good to see a Ford doing well as your right, Evo's (and a couple HSV's) have dominated that series for a while.

Also won the 2nd race! Well done Jeremy Gray and the FG XR6T with another win!
http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/re.../2009.ORGP.R27 Times show the AU Falcon to still be pretty quick too. Especially given they are NA and are competing against others with motors 2L bigger, or those which are turbocharged.

Very impressive result! Is Gray's XR6T roughly prod. car racing spec or modified beyond that?
