Lutz doesn't fill me with confidence in having a clear vision. Looks like old GM traits.

Is there any chance at all of Ford keeping the Crown Victoria on with a new platform? Falcon based maybe?

Considering it was going to be Built in the States, it shouldnt really affect Australia.

It is probably better for Holden if it does get shelved.

I've long said that GM Holden are the automotive equivalent of the NSW Labor Party. Useless, re-announcement after re-annoucement spin.

PS It would be nice for it to happen from an export perspective.

Same spin as the hybrid commodore announcement, and countless others.

I feel sorry for the factory workers who get there hopes up.... then shot down again on an almost weekly basis, I am almost positive that Holden's employees must be scared witless at the "morons" that appear to be at the controls of their livelihood.......

We should start a thread where we keep track of Holden's "announcements", and see just how accountable Holden are to anything they say......

Crikey !!

Their leadership is out of control....anything they say needs to be taken with a grain of salt !! _

Lets see if the Cruze is REALLY built here................ I don't see how they can make a business case for it.

In my humble opinion, Holden discredit their reputation with these multiple announcements, only to fall back on them or have them shot to smithereens by GM management. They backflip on so many decisions it's not funny, now I am not suggesting by any means that Ford Oz is run better ( I suspect they are.....) than Holden but I do much prefer Mr Burela's "softly, softly" approach. i.e Say nothing unless you have something important to say ........

Bossxr8 sits and waits patiently for the Hybrid Commodore to be released within the next 18 months.

What I want to know is why have GM kept on so many of these geriatric old fools that ran the old GM into the ground, just so they can repeat the same old mistakes.

Plans getting backflipped is no problem, things change and it happens. But backflipping within 72 hours or whatever of making an announcement. They don't seem to have an idea.

Meanwhile Ford (US) shares continue to gain ground from their $1-something price earlier this year/late last year. They're up to $6 something now. I wonder why?

And this is why Bob Lutz annoys me. He flaps his mouth off before he thinks. Don't worry about the emotional rollercoaster assembly plant workers have been riding for the past 12 months, this sort of crap only makes it worse for them.

Stupid old clown.
