hey guys.
whats the best way to reduce body roll in my mums AU fairmont ghia V8?? its just shocking atm. it feels like your driving a really heavy cloud.

a lower profile tyre will go along way to firming it up.. The Ghias run baloons iirc 60 series sidewall jobbies

Yep swaybars,set of mags and a bush kit will see it light years ahead of where it is now.
For me Fords have always been under tyred for the body they have to cart around. |

Fellas its Mum's car not his, mate how many k's on the beast ? shocks been changed ?
check that as they are probably worn out. If after new shocks still not to your/her liking add the sway bars she'll be sweet but warn her the ride will be slightly harsher till she gets used to it. Sorry the above could be thought of many things haha but how else could I describe the above !

Bluedriver, yes it is mums car and i suppose i will have to get her apprval to do anything to it but it will be my car one day, she just doesnt know it yet :P so i dont mind spending a bit of money on it. i have loved her car since the day she brought it home.

For a firmer ride I'd be going with what Maurie said.
It's one thing I am doing with my Territory soon as it needs to be firmed up again. And being the family vehicle ... lowering is out of the question really. Good controlled Gas shocks all round will be the best starting point. If it still feels like it is meandering a little and submarining under braking ... then I'd get the main front control arm bushes replaced for prcise control and positive braking/steering feel.
