Hey all,
since scoring a job flying from an Aborigional community for the next 6 months I've decided (for obvious reasons) to leave the car back home with the missus. Now, since she isn't able to drive manual to save her life would I be best to place the car on stands in order to avoid getting flat spots in the tyres, while still allowing her to run the car every week or so and have a mate drop some fuel from a jerry can when needed or will it be fine to leave on the wheels?

should be fine to leave it on the wheels unless you get some old ones and put them on and put yours away

6 months sitting should be fine, I wouldn't (and haven't lol) worry about doing anthing special while it is sitting. Fresh fuel and fluids when you get back is a good idea though.

6 months is nothing, wouldnt even bother doing anything other than disconnecting the battery.

i have always thought leaving a car with an nearly mt tank for a long period might lead to condensation build up in the tank due to the rising and falling daily tempreture and mostly air in the tank ....therefore its better to leave the car with a full tank, i could be wrong but just a theory
 , i like the idea of sitting it on blocks or ramps for the duration, but thats only me .

thanks guys, yeah i am planning on leaving it with practically a full tank of fuel. not going to worry bout putting it on stands as i've got a mate who will give it a run every now and then
