Default Just Fitted New Coil Pack, Now Have Problems??

Hi All,
I have just fitted a new coil pack (ex Ebay) but the car is now running s@#%.It feels & sounds like it is only running on 4 cylinders not 6.I have double checked the leads for correct fitting order ect.The car was running fine before the coil pack and the only reason I was replacing the coil pack was due to age & kms 110000.The leads & plugs were replaced 12 months ago.Could it be a faulty new pack?? Any ideas??

Yes it could be a faulty coilpack. Double check the physical, make sure your leads are properly on, both ends. Otherwise take out every plug and lead (one by one) and sit it on top of the block and check for spark.
Also, could be a classic case of don't fix what ain't broke.

I had a 4 week old ex-ebay coil die on our last trip away.

Check connections and if still no go, put your old one back in to prove it.

In my case the ebay guy refunded $'s with no probs.

I agree Mr Hardware " don't fix what ain't broke", while I was under the car I did notice that my steering rack is leaking.I have double checked the leads, all ok.I phoned a auto place that is just 5 mins away.The guy said to bring in tomorrow morning and he will put on the machine for me to find any faults etc.

Thanks ronwest, I will wait until tomorrow to find out if the coil pack is faulty or not.

UPDATE:Well, I took the car to the local auto repair place and the machine showed a problem with number 4 cylinder.The lead was removed and then pushed back on the coil pack and bingo the engine was running sweet again.For some reason (me)the #4 lead was not sitting 100% correct on the pack even after pushing on the leads a number of times.
