Hi,
Cooling fans have stopped working - checked fuse not problem - fans works off battery - and I'm not that bright, would appreciate some advice. Thanks

have u checked the relay ?
there are 2 iirc in the fuse holder if u turn the fuse holder cap upside down u should see a diagram telling you what relay's and fuses are what bit hard to explain how to check relay's best bet is go get 2 new ones should be about $20

As Disco frank has said, if the two 40amp fuses are ok...
Check the relays??? There are three of these!!! Two 4 blade 40amp relays white in colour & one 5 blade 40amp green relay. |

Might be a long shot - isn't there some sort of temperature sensor that kicks them in when the engine gets to a predetermined heat? Any chance it could be that sensor if its not the relays or fuses?

Sensors to computer, computer controls fans. Hi and low function fans run in series.
My high was working low wasnt and engine was over heating. Replaced fans $100 from wrecker. all ok now.

Hi all,
took car to auto spark and he is stumped.......can't resolve problem - still not working. I was thinking, can I just hardwire the thermo fans to the battery and let them run when ever the car is operating, even rig a toggle switch back to the cabin. I don't see why this would be a problem. My main question is do these thermo fans for au2 run at different speeds or on/off. I think the hardwire option is the best way - cost enuff already......:(

R u blowing fuses for the fans... check fuses again!!!
Then.... Check with a multimeter or aligator clips with a globe at the plug before the thermos. That way you can check for current when the low speed thermos r suppose to kicks in... just above operating temperature, between n/o on temperature gauge. When the a/c is turned on, the thermos should come on straight away. |

Check the 10A fuse in the dash, fuse 7 on the top row from the left
