Default WT Styling options

Well seems my wife has settled on the little Festa.

Considering a few options for her new 6 speed Zetec (in march)

1st - These daytime running lights.
It'd probably make sense to do a group buy or get some dealer interest so we can bring over 50 sets or so. Anyone's opinion ?

Also the front lip and rear diffuser look the goods. Black rims look great too.

Anyone seen anything better out there ?

Love the exhaust. I also, unlike many, actually like the DRL setup too. Perhaps not in black, get it body coloured and it'd look nice. Would be interested in a buy up of these, but does it just fit in the existing bumper, or a whole new bumper? I have a feeling, from reading about them on Euro sites, it's the latter.

Well so long as they're not right below the headlights (some guys on the Euro forums put a LED strip under their headlights, which looks tacky IMHO) I'm in for these. Get them in body color finish, I reckon they'd looks the tits.

And not just for looks. It's easy to see why LEDS are compulsory for all new cars in Europe, their safety benefits are well documented.

First thing on the list will be H&R springs and these rims.
That's exactly how I'd want mine to look.
White suits the car really well IMO.

20's !!!!

Those side skirts definitely make the 5-Door the looker of the range IMHO.

love the tinted rears and the ride height... the coilovers have just moved up my priority list. 20's are taking it a bit far though... 18's were to much IMHO.

Yes and No, don't get me wrong, I got a semi looking at those wheels, I just know how rough mine was with 18's on smooth GC roads.

Also i doubt very much the boys in blue will let the 20's pass... I have issues with the 17's and they're on the tyre placard!!!

because 20's will greatly increase the upsprung weight of the car, thus degrading it's handling ability, as well as the obvious issue with incorrect speedo readings.

No reason for a significant weight gain if chosen corerectly and speedos can easily be recalibrated

The weight gain is inevitable... my 17's are 3.5kg heavier then the steel stockers... can only imagine how much heavier even a lightweight (simmons/gram zeros) would weigh.

Mmmm, oh well. I reckon it'd be worth the risk
Hopefully the stock ST or RS will have 18's, then all is well :-)

Some official DRL's for CL/LX models I came across on the Ford website. $428. Not too bad a price for a dealer supplied and fitted product.

http://www.ford.com.au/cars/fiesta/a...41248877853193

Or if you're clever enough to fit them yourself, $320 here (plus postage).

Both the Ford website and the ebay description talk of additional "bezels" required to fit these units. So add in another expense.
Plus, I reckon the Fiesta control module would require programming to activate the light option. If you go the ebay option you may still have to stump up extra dollars for Ford as well.
And, the Vic cops are dumb enough to mistake these for the Zetec fog light and give you a $165 fine for having them on in non fog conditions.
Look great though.
