Leaked from http://transmissia.net/transfocator/02.04.11/8300.html who broke the embargo. I will miss that V10 goodness but this does look the goods. Hopefully it handles like the old e39 M5, regarded as one of the finest handling sedans of its time.

I provided it as a source. Yes unfortunately it will replace the V10 but I am sure the V8TT will be another ball tearing engine provided by BMW's M division as usual.

The older 5 series / M5 is so much nicer than this one. The last one has a subtle aggressive look about it which this one doesn't look like it does. The current 5 series is too much of a babied down 3 series IMO.

Is it just me, or do Beamers sort of look the same as each other nowadays?

Meh - not a fan of the nose, looks a little Volvoish and the rear end looks like it was given to a ricer to draw on.. and is it just me or do the wheels resemble female private parts?!

Magnificent car.
With AWD they could add power; looking forward to seeing that regardless of any power increase. Polyal, all that mess in the engine bay is courtesy of the turbos being placed in the V. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdbvluVB6Ok

I like the 680Nm available from 1500rpm through to 5750rpm and the 412kw between 6000rpm and 7000rpm.
All from a 4.4lt V8 that sips only 9.9l/100km |

^^^ Enough small "Torque" why not have 410KW and 799nm available over a similar range and decent styling thrown in as well
Link to review of the M Benz CLS63 AMG. http://www.caradvice.com.au/115039/m...63-amg-review/ Seriously the styling of this new M5 is so ultra conservative, yeah all kudos to BMW, we all know the M5 is one of the very finest ultra high performance sedans in thw world it but if you're going to spend that sort of coin wouldn't you want some cutting edge style as well ? |

I love the understated sytling. It's almost like its the same as every other BMW on the road, but somehow manages to stir up some lusty emotions anyway.
It's just enough to make you look twice as you realise, after the first look, that it's not the stock model. |

This has now replaced my desire for an E63 AMG... never liked the E60 shape and the E39 will always go down as one of the most understated yet utterly awesome M5's ever built, but this has style/power and im sure in trueness to any M car handles how no 4door sedan should.
Now I just need to take the CEO position at work and call lease plan :P

Wheels look a little GT 335 ish.
I'm suprised they didn't tweak the power much higher over the X5M, only 4kw. Initial reports had power to be over 425 to maybe 450. I was expecting it to look a little tougher. Doesn't seem to have the menace of previous M5's. |
