ones that you like, not what others suggest. Go to a wheel store and ask them to put some wheels up against your car, then pick the ones you like best. There are thousands.

For some good but cheap rubber i'd go with silverstone's i got them my Au Xr6 and they are really good for what they cost. With nexen tyres i've heard lots of mixed reviews about them but i've never used them myself

As for rims, what Farnsworth said.
As for tyres, I've had a few goes with Nexens and I quite like them. I currently have N5000s, but I've had N6000s and N7000s. The N6000s were the grippiest, but wore in about 24 months. The N7000s were great and are now superceeded by the N5000s, which I currently have on the SR sedan. I paid $126 fitted a few weeks back, but they were originally quoted at $138. I find them a great tyre for the price, fine in dry or wet, but then again, I'm not getting my car sideways and such and I'm not a track day guy. I'll buy them again for sure. GK

Ok well I will have a better look into the nexens and might go for the N6000's. Might go down and take some pics of the car tonight and tomorrow and look at starting a build thread also. |

I'd go a staggered fit like Antwon, 19x9.5 on rear and 19x8.5 on the front. The black with polished lip looks great too. good choice
looks great with the rear dish |

Azzuros or Rebel 18's and ditch the stripes idea.

Take into account the roads you drive on and if you can afford tyres in the future too.

Apart from FR19 Simmonds, Iv not seen 1 set of aftermarket rims Id ever put on my LS XR8. Factory rims also = 100% legal and tested/certified for ADR and Insurance etc.. With some of those cheaper import wheels, you have to wonder if their really ok..

Matte black Volk TE37 (or the copy-rims) with aggressive offset.

either that, or something concave. concave rims would have to have the toughest stance going around... like this. .. otherwise, tickford 17s... they are just such a good stock rim.

Alright guys. I think I have found the wheels I want. I am going to speak to a bloke I know about getting some black Speedy Cheetahs. 18x8 at the front and 18x9 in the rear. I was just wondering if you guys had any experience with these sizes. I just wanted to know if they would fit. I have plans to lower the car but not by to much probably only 25 or 35 mm.

From memory, cheetahs are +35 offset for both 8 and 9'' wide rims, so they'll fit no probs.
You can run either 235/265 or 245/275 tyre combos front/rear.

I agree factory looks the cleanest, so anything T series does the job nicely. Although the silver stock mags look pretty nice once the car has the right stance. Id steer clear of anything FPV...been done, common and FPV + Tickford = no no for me
