Default Anyone know a good sealant?

hey guys i have a small gap in my grandmas car which i want to fill its not bad you can just here the air and water in the rain as if somethings open. It is in the passenger foot well under the dash.

does anyone know something that is able to:

expand in the gap to fill areas i cant get to.
block sound EXTREMELY well.
water and weatherproof.

Cheers guys.

Sickaflex (tectane) is a good sealant, you could fill up that gap with no problems.

hey guys sikaflex seams to be the one im more keen on just adding a sealent instead of adding parts

the shape of the whole is kinda of like tthis \ / with the little gap i would like something that i can put in there then it will expand so no air will get through if you know what i mean?

if someone could explain what sikaflex is that would be great

yeah so its just something that can fill a whole and block sound really well! and is weatherproof :P

thanks for the help guys im getting there on deciding a product

Yeah sikaflex 227, available at your local super-cheap etc. sticks like poo to a woollen blanket, sikaflex is a black auto sealant/glue for panels etc.

Sickaflex is a type of silicone glue mostly used in engine bays, but does not give of fumes that cause o2 sensors to play up...

Sticks like poo to a blanket, so don't get it all over your hands, I did at work and let it dry, big mistake.

Sickaflex is what they use to build cars, it is a good sound deadener.

This is the stuff. About 15 bucks from bunnings. It is in the paint section with all the other sealants.

Make sure you get the nozzle, sika products use a wider nozzle than selleys.

It is good and it will block sound and water. It is similar to what was already there.
