I guess after 9 years anyone who wanted one would have bought one.
Rolls and Bentley have the 'image' of the very best after being around for so long, Maybach had/has no connotations of heritage and eliteness and class.

Maybach as been around since 1909.
After making cars till 1945 they took a hiatus until 2002 with the revival by Mercedes Benz.
They have heritage and class.

I just presume they ran out of people who can afford to fork out $2.2Mill on a car.
