Default Moderators

Since when did we need approval in the cruise section to post a cruise or general get together? Do these moderators get to pick and choose what cruises they think are necessarily good or What? Say for instance someone has a spare of the moment cruise or just general who's out there for a hello, do the moderators not put it up cause its not a worthy event or anything? Just wondering what was wrong with the old way. Soon you'll have cruise or meet ups posted in these sections.

Possibly since the moderators decided that's what would happen. I doubt it was well thought out, and not a spur of the moment decision.

Why don't you pm the moderator in that section and ask the question?

I think you will find that the areas concerned were being abused by certain individuals that were promoting events that had no relevance to AFF.

Why not just delete them as they pop up like usual. When you start a thread they come up as awaiting approval by moderator. If your the moderator then you don't check it very often. Not trying to cause a ruckus but whats so wrong with before? what events do you guys not like? Isnt it AFF members posting? Isn't it a good thing to know events that are happening in the community?

@Grunter;

how do you tell whos the moderator in that section? Wulos? Spoolman?

Pretty much.

There's no mods for ACT/NSW, so it's hard to "PM a mod in that area".. That's why ive already expressed interest in being a mod for NSW/ACT..

Moved to in here, site support.

We have been inundated with threads going up full off advertising and self promotion of business's, therefor we now screen all threads in the events area before they go up..

I will also make no apologies for not posting up threads if someone wants run an event that clashes with our Charity events.

Anyone has an issue with there thread in our State events Forums send me a PM and I will look into it..

We are not the only ones who screen threads before there placed up.
