Question Kuga..Territory Ad ?? Makes no sense ??

Near work is a billboard ad. Kate and Pippa Kuga and Territory.
I don't see the relevance?? Kate and Pippa are thin people. Kuga.. Territory are "fat" people, SUV's.??????
Its good to see Kuga...Territory being advertised..But, how about an ad that makes sense??? That billboard doesn't.!!
Or am I missing something????

There's another billboard near the docklands I think it is, but it has Brad & George with pictures of the Kuga & Terri.

I'm obv missing something too because I think the billboard looks bloody stupid.

choosing between Kate and Pippa... its a no lose situation. It doesnt matter which family member you choose. The more you think about the ad the better it is.

DASH GT..shouldn't the ads be relevant to the product?? When the new Territory came out, the ad said "over 1,000kms a tank" that says what the car can do. Kate and Pippa drive Range Rovers. No need to change brands, Ford keeps me amused !!!

Its nothing to do with the manufacturers that the ads are boring, you need to look elsewhere

I'm going to guess that the one I saw (Brad or George) is referring to Brad Pitt and George Clooney? Ford just lost me as a customer, I'm straight

Exactly, here we all are talking about it, so as far as advertising goes, wouldn't that mean it has worked ?.
I do not live in a major city and we don't have Billboard's here advertising such product's so obviously now I know all about it, why because it has made people talk about it.
Job done.

I saw the "Brad or George?" billboard somewhere along the Hume or Cumberland on Wednesday (can't remember where exactly) and it had me thinking for a couple of km's before it actually clicked. A job well done by Ford / hired ad agency IMO - most people would think about it for a while after seeing it and when they get it they'll see Ford.

Well, I don't see the billboards near where I drive. But, they got your attention and now i've just heard about them from you!

Essentially Ford are comparing their vehicles to these people who are from either the male or female perspective (which is why they have two ads), desirable individuals, and saying 'You can't lose it's a win whichever way you go.' The connection is obviously, with either Kuga or Territory 'you can't lose, it's a win or a win!'

Clever

I'm sorry, but I really don't know who they are.

Not superheroes or science fiction characters, and definitely not from any computer game I can think of, everything else to me just seems like mind numbing garbage designed to appeal to an audience that I don't fit in with.

Popular culture is not my strong point. Ask me one on geeky stuff.

It is not a hard to get!!!

Kate & pippa are beautiful & hot & hard for any man to choose between them. They are saying the same thing about Territ & Kuga.

I'd guess the Geroge & Brad one is for the ladies & the Kate & pippa one is for the men. Unless you bat for the other team, then swap them around!

I think the add is gold!!

Back to my Firefly BluRay I think. I can get my head round all that space stuff, but relationships in popular culture beffudle me too much.

Saw it on East Link and had me thinking for a while! Then it also clicked and thought it was clever ..... especially with the different male and female version. Again, simple but with a little bit of a WTF!

What's the point of saying "1000's k's per tank .... blah blah blah. Everyone claims they can know drive from Melbourne to Cairns on 1/2 a tank, has the best price, is the best quality, has the cheapest service ..... whatever! All too boring.

Thanks, now I have to clean vomit off my keyboard. One would hope you're not being serious.

They must be advertising for the older lady with Brad and George, not sure what type of man they're advertising for with Kate and Pippa(most non existent rear end ever), perhaps men who enjoy no idea magazine.

No need to get angry, Kate and Pippa aren't everyone's type.
For that .01% of people there's Rosie O'Donnell and Magda Szubanski.
