Default Looking to fit 20" rim

Hi guys,

Just wondering off the top of your head anyone that is running 20"s?

I currently have 19" and after the prev owner stuffed every rim, its time for a change of shoes. Im thinking 20" cause I found a rim I like that only comes at that size.

Guy at shop said would cause issues with control arms and the tyres not fitting right due to the low profile. I know of at least one ute running 20 I saw him at the tip one day, so im sure they work just not sure how well and if any mods were needed...

Cheers,

Phil

I had 20's on mine for a while, had a couple issues.. May depend on how low your car is, mine is only on super-lows and up front the tyre hit the guard whilst turning over a speed bump (guards are rolled too). The other issue i had was at the rear the tyre rubbed on the rear of the guard just above where the bumper meets the guard. However i was running 9.5s on the rear, i believe anything not quite as wide wouldnt be an issue...

yea mate i ran 20's for 2 years with no probs at all, sometimes caught the guard a tiny bit but i never had them rolled.

I had king spring super lows with short shocks and the wheels were advanti sabotage 20x8.5s i think. with low profile tyres.

legally we can have 20's as well. So no worry there either.

I run 20x8.5 rims with a 245/30 tyre and only get scrub on the rear with a full tank and 4 people on board. I'll post a pic later.

Depending what width your 20s come in you might be able to run a skinny tyre ie 225 on a 20x8 which will make any scrub non exisistant. Although the big rims look good I like 17s because they handle and ride better(99% of the time I run 17s). I bought these a couple of years back when I thought it was cool to have 20s but I grew tired of it riding like a busted ****. Also there's a couple of real good driving roads near my place and they just didn't cut it when it came to grip.
