For a AMG 6.3L V8 in a 3 tonne boxy 4WD does 0-100kph in 5.3 second, that fast and they wanna do a V12 version??? Have these German completely lost it???

Seem to remember the G class getting quite a sales boost (in Europe or the US) after its appearance in the "Bourne Supremacy."

The twin turbo v12 is a monster, but I think I'll prefer the twin turbo v8. V8 amgs always sound amazing.

Agreed, I've seen them in the flesh a few times and even seen one from the mid 90s in excellent condition. They are good looking, though the one pictured probably isn't as nice to look at as standard models.
