Hi all
I have bought Fords for the last 45 years never a new one but always a Ford and now I know why the Falcon is almost gone My two latest vehicles I have one and the Mrs has the other mines a BA Fairmont Ghia I bought in 2008 $15k but thats not here or there and now she has as a 2004 Territory Ghia AWD that was $13k last year anyway the Territory is twice the car the BA is even if its based on the same car like the difference between an XD and an XF same car but totally different to drive Ford owners and drivers would know what I mean its definitely different to drive and so much more versatile fold down seats etc and I dont have to throw myself in or out as the ride height is perfect for me to hop in and out of and definitely more comfortable I would have to say the Terry is the best I have had anyway just my thoughts thanks Last edited by last fairlane; 17-07-2012 at 09:15 PM. maybe you could have just made a thread about how great your Territory is instead of framing it the way you have?

I actually know where this guy is coming from.
The Territory is unbelievably good to drive, especially over crap roads, even if they are winding crap roads as it handles really quite well. And I have to admit it, that I have done long drives in the Territory and sat back after a couple of hours and said, well this is better than my FPV (BF F6, FG F6 and now FG II GT-E) in this role. And towing with the Territory, you don't know anything is there. Suspension problems aside, although the Falcon sedan has their own problems there anyway, the Territory has been Ford's saviour thus far and is definitely their moden success story. Ours has just had its 120,000km service (07 Ghia AWD) and it feels ready for another 120. Got the extended warranty which runs out late next year, and nearly every service they replace some bush or something but I don't care as I am not paying for it :-) By the time it is out of warranty it would have had most of the suspension replaced, lol, so good for another heap of km.

The reason falcon is at deaths door is because they have made cars to last so long that people stopped buying new ones and just buy the second hand ones

When i wanted to change cars from my un needed 4wd, i wanted (and needed) a wagon, a real wagon. Falcon wagon is such a car.
There is no FG wagon...Sorry Ford! Second hand for me...
