I am looking at getting some new shoes for my AU2 XR8 ute.
I have been looking at the following wheels: FG XR6 Turbo 19" Premium Wheels FG G6E Turbo 19" Upgrade Wheels What else do you think works? BTW, the car is dark blue. I have been lookin at Rota wheels (te37 copies) which. Are 18x18.5 front with +30 offset and 18x9.5 rear with +38 offset. My only concern is that they will be too wide on the rear and will rub when I am towing? |

Personally I like the G6E Turbo 19" ones. I was going to put them on my old AU Fairmont before I decided to sell it. If you ask nicely, somebody might do a photoshop for you. :P

Well, if your ute is hanging round the city streets, get the bling.
But outside the coastal cities, stick with stock ute wheels. Imagine getting a specialty tyre out at Mildura or Longreach or somewhere like that. It'd come by special order eventually, after you've spent a night or two in a motel. |

The ute is a city car
I have just taken a liking to FG XR8 18" rims. A photoshop would be awesome for the 3 sets of Ford wheels, would you prefer a side on pic of my ute? |

Wow, those wheels look awesome on the AU but think it might take the sportiness away from the XR8, to me they will make it look more classy . . .

I'm a big fan of 5 spoke Tickford rims.
I've noted for a long time though, that I like a car to look stock. Having said that, my second option to Tickford would be other rims from the Ford range in 5 spoke form. In my mind, they (5 spoke rims) just look "right". GK

G'day all, Ba ghia thin spokes like Dansedgli had on his ute a little while ago- cost effective, attractive factory look, would suit my galaxy blue futura nicely. There are heaps of rims that would look hot on an Au, those earlier examples are a falcon lover's wet dream lol
cheers,Maka

The au rebel wheels are one of my favorites, and its a bloody shame they didn't make them to clear brembos.

Mine are not Ford rims, but I really liked them.. There's another AU on here with them painted to match the color of the car too..
