I have 5% all round on my last 3 cars. Love it: but you have to accept not being able to see in the dark, no joke. Reversing is a pain, camera and sensors will be your friend!

No, it's to look super cool, and i personally think a dark tint does just that, and in townsville it's great as once the car cold down with the aircon on, it stays cool.

Get darkest legal tint. Looks horn, gives privacy, cools the car...

Any darker voids insurance policies.

so the darkness of a tint dictates its ability to keep heat out?

interesting..........

only to a certain extent.
i would never put 5% on my front doors. there is a fine line between practical and stupid, and i think 5% is on the wrong side of that line.

imo i have had and go 18% on all of my cars, yes personal choice , its light enough to get through police checks, i live rural and its enough to see out of in dark(sometimes) and as interior is dark the "look" of the car is much darker.

5% is too dark and asking for trouble from authorities

I had 10% on one of my old cars. Too dark. Was a nightmare to try and park at night, just plain dangerous!

But it looked awesome.
