Guy Fawkes special, super saloon luxo's slug it out but did Car Advice get it right ??
http://www.caradvice.com.au/199070/b...arison-review/ Car Advice rates the BMW M5 and E63 AMG at 4.5 stars and the XFR at 4.0 stars. If you just won a competition and the prize was you could pick any of these three and had the free use of it for 5 years and then hand it back, which would you chose and why ? |

Agreed. A guy around the corner has a white one... The first time I heard it before I saw it and assumed it was some old school muscle car. Oh man........

M5 for me, E63's are starting to look old compared to the new 5 series.

Not the quickest but just look at it !! Must admitt the other two have a ton of extra tech kit and a fair bit more punch. It would be a bloody tough decision. |

Jag looks the best but was severely upset when I sat inside one saw the quality of the interior to touch and the wear for 5000kms was suprising..E63, M5 then Jag. I'd take an XJ over them all though.

Jag- Looks the best by a long shot IMO.
But that Merc has one of the best notes around, that said wouldnt be hard to improve the note on the Jag. Jag wins for me, dont like the M5 never really been a BMW fan.

AMG, sound, speed, look, quality and it seems to be able to handle as well (from reports i have read and seen).
Jag would be a close second. BMW lost the plot with this F10 version.

I would have trouble deciding.
I know AMG's sound amazing, but it's the least best looking of the 3 of them. I'm a big BMW fan, but I also love jags. Every man and his dog owns a BMW, even if it's just he cheaper ones. I would have to go for the Jag |

Jag for me. BMW's don't do it for me and I don't have gold teeth so couldn't take the Merc.

i have to go the jag for size and comfort. then the AMG then the M5 the M5 is just too small for someone who is 6'4" to drive comfortably for long drives. i like my leg room. and nobody needs to have 400kw in a luxury saloon/touring car.

Jag through and through, then the BM ........ and the Merc would be my 17th choice. Never liked the look of them (except a few) and still don't. Don't know why ....... no logic.

BMW for sure. M5 FTW. Loved the E60 m5. Bro has a X5M with the same motor...hammers.
When Jag release the XFR-S it might be a different story. Plus AMG E series is getting an updated face next year |

The jag just oozes class even if it's not the best equipped or fastest something about it just seems to make sense. When u see one one the road it stands out the BMW and the Amg just don't have the same wow factor IMO

I've not driven the AMG or the M5 so it's hard to say anything bad about them, apart from the fact that they are german, and a lot of people that I don't want to be drive those marques...
I tested a 2012 XFR earlier this year. What a monster. If I had the money, then yes, without question. But not as a daily driver. Maybe i'm getting old... I find it funny when people talk about "less equipped" the one I tested had every single extra fitted, it wasn't missing a thing.

Haha following on from that - Jag exterior, BMW chassis and interior, AMG exhaust and engine ..
Otherwise if you twist my arm Merc's all the way.. gotta love that exhaust and the level of skill required to drive a AMG fast, with unparalleled fun factor you wouldn't get from the others.

Can only comment on two. BMW over the Jag without doubt. Have driven the jag and the 5 series. The BM wins hands down. Built for the driver where IMO the Jag is build for passengers and has a bit too much of a try hard interior. Great power on long straight roads though. Judgement reserved on the Merc.
