Just giving you guys the heads up on an upcoming classic car auction.
An elderly gentleman from the Yorke Peninsula here in SA has recently passed away and his estate included a large shed full of classic cars which he had collected over the years. Im told that Pickles picked up 2 car carriers full of vehicles with an estimated value of $2 mil. From what i've been told there are s and r series val's, v8 torana's and numerous other special items, not sure of the blue oval content. I checked the Pickles site, but so far have found nothing, however, the cars were only picked up a week or so ago and are proberbly still being evaluated. i posted this in the SA section, but it didnt appear, so i thought i'd share it with you all. The above info is from a very reliable source...stay tuned. |

I've no doubt it will be well publicised when it comes up, keep an eye on their website etc.
Im spitting chips that i drove past the shed weekly for years and never knew the contents. There was a rumour around the area 20 years ago of an SL/R5000 Torana which was bought for the old guys son who didnt like it and so it was parked up and left. Im told that this vehicle is part of the auction, meant to be very low k's, or so the story went. I always thought it was just your typical pub story and had forgotten about it until i heard of his recent passing and its discovery. |
