Hi all,got the Capri running and now I'm working on the DTC lights on the dash.Did anyone ever end up coming up with a scanner that handles the ford proprietary codes unique to the Au's?

Yea I've got the same but can you actually clear faults on yours?.Some features are not enabled on mine. What can you do with yours?.Like I cant do a full system test,I only get a quick spin of the fans and a buzz from the fuel pump then get a error saying cannot carry out system test.Have you tried that test on yours?.Bret

I have used it to clear a Airbag fault.
As for the tests I think you need to carry out some manual tasks while it is in test mode. KOER Brake On/Off Power Steering Pressure Switch WOT

While were at it you wouldn't know how to trick the crash computer into thinking that the pretensioners are still in place?. I'm using the Capri seats and have got the pretensioners off the au plugged in but I'm still getting error message "left & right pretensioners circuit open.Any ideas,I have to use the Capri seats to get it registered/engineered and have no lights flashing on the dash.

I don't know why they would say open circuit
Have you measured the pre-tensioners? I think they are around 2.2 - 2.8 Ohms

Yea mines about the same I even tried a couple of 2.2 ohm resisters in place in the buckles but no go.I wonder if its something to do with the unused loom I cut out and terminated.

I am still dubious if this will work... Have done heaps of research. AU is like the inbetweener OBD 1 CAN OBD (starwars phun) car. Proprietary designed link tc... Last edited by Rugged73; 22-07-2013 at 11:06 PM. Reason: Typo |
