I'm sure they are gonna make pretty penny of this given what much older ones go for. Brand new 50 year old car sounds strange though :

I like seeing these barn find stories. I see a late 1920s Durant/Rugby in one of the pics. I'm trying to get familiar with the vintage cars

I suspect the high prices that these will likely go for will stop them going to buyers who'll butcher them

Now how cool will it be if this was an aussie dealer who stored away classic cars such as GT HO's or other classics like HK bathurst manaros all in low 10 to 50 miles on clock with unmolested interiors....

looks like they haven't been cared for at all, so although they might be 'low mileage', they'd also be undrivable until you went completely through and replaced all the rubber, fluids and brakes and stuff.

Yep whilst they are low mileage mechanically they will need a full resto from just sitting around so long.
The paint may not come up the best neither and I wonder how brittle the interiors are after not being stretched or any protectant put on them over 50 years? It kind of kills the point of them having 10 miles on them if they have to be totally rebuilt. They will be totally original but not. |
