Post Which oil.....

Hi all first time post so sorry if this has been covered before.

I have a 99 AU falcon futura, I need to do an oil change on the oil cap it states 5w-30, given its at 296k+ km I would think this is no longer a suitable oil (not to mention rather pricey). Can anyone recommend which oil to use in it now?
Tia

Use to have a AU Futura back in 2000(great car!) initially it was using 5w-30 then Ford revised it to 10w-30 for the Intech motor(mineral based oil) at the time I was using Shell Helix 10w-30(other than that go by your service/owner's book.) Cheer's

Cheers don't have the owners manual paid $500 for the car 12months ago since then have serviced transmission & replaced fuel pump o-ring other than that no major issues & quite comfortable for long highway drives & reliable daily drive. If it lasts me another 12mnths I'll be happy 👍

At 500 bucks you could get a whole fleet.

Penrite 10W/30 is perfect, 5 Litres is $45 at repco, $40 at Becks hardware
Z9 Ryco oil filter about $15 to $20

I use 15W/30 for my AUII with 330K on the odometer. (oil cap recommends 10W/30)

It should last you another 12 years if you look after it !!!

Thanks seems either 10-30 or 15-30 will do so whatever is on sale next will do👍 already got the filter think was $9
The motor might last 12yrs but as far as the body goes I doubt it 😔
