At the very start as I turned onto the ramp, I was accelerating hard. Some slight traction control kicked in but didnt upset the car. I tend to drive with TC o. Despite 600Nm in first it comes on beautifully, and you have the complete option - warp speed acceleration, or smoke or a mix.
Sooooo much traction. Not too hard to take off in 1st though I dont tend to do full race launches Quote:

It does as much as you want it to. In this case I think the corner loaded it up a fair bit and it mildly kicked in, but doesnt slow you much! I was accelerating hard on purpose - to see how the car handled being asked to put down power on a rough corner.
The ability and lack of easy-to-find limits of traction means the car can be quite humbling. I havent driven anything less than 240kW since 2002, but this car I have to respect! I always, and I mean always have to back off before the car does! Some seriously high new performance limits I need to identify somehoe and learn. Quote:

"Wheels performance tested the holy grail. March edition. A whole page just for the times. 0-100 4.98 secs 400m 12.72 as their best time Didn't they go fgx xr8 base car 4.86secs and 12.89? It's late, and I'm not denying any beer has been consumed tonight (seems this thread is contentious, so that doesn't help) but I'm sure my XR6T with a tune does a 5.0s run in a 0-100 "race". perfectly legal, I'll add, on some roads. I am in the money-best-spent-else-where though club. Nice to see it available and all, and no snails, but not for me. I think my MkII looks meaner compared to the FGX too - but that's just subjective.
