The quintessential James Bond played by Sean Connery has died aged 90.
Can't wait for all the reruns of his movies. My favourite line is from The Untouchables "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight" or words to that effect.

In my mind and without any doubt he was James Bond, he set the benchmark for the character and while one or two have come close, none have got there yet. He was a mans man and as a kid i really wanted to grow up and be just like him......offing the baddies and getting the hot women while tearing around in a Aston Martin..
R.I.P Sean, you will be missed....

I remember going to the Boomerang theatre in Annerley to see Dr No in '63.
My first taste of Bond... oh, and Ursula undressed. Jaw drops... RIP 007. |

Sean Connery was the original and the best 007 for me..I remember maybe 15 years ago over a few Friday nights our local Southern Cross channel played a sequence of early Sean Connery and Roger Moore Bond films over several weeks ..Of course Dr No was one of them ..absolute classic .
Thought then and still think now he nailed it . Didn't mind Roger Moore either for different reasons and a couple of Pierce Brosnan's films like The World is not Enough and Tomorrow Never Dies were pretty good for me . Never been as big a fan of Bond films since Daniel Craig .. It's a bit like Dr Who actors . They either nail the character for you or they don't .. Rest in Peace Sean .. Shaken but not Stirred .. |

Rip Sean Connery and RIP my Father, he also passed yesterday the 31st of October 2020 surrounded by us, his family.
I'd like to think they're having a drink in the arrivals lounge together.

So if Steve McQueen was The King of Cool, what does that make Sean Connery?
Saw this poster in London last year at a cars of James Bond exhibition. Wanted to buy it badly, but no room in luggage for a tube.

Blofeld was wrong,
You only live once Mister Bond........ But he definitely won, Blofeld never planned for him to go peacefully with family by his side at 90. A great life
