May you rest in peace after the worst game in your life !
The boozing game beat you George. His latter years do no justice to what this guy did from his early teens till he retired from the Real Football in the late 70's. An unbelievable talent on the football field for Man United and Ireland. If there is such word in Football as an allrounder this guy was It. Made opposition players look ordinary with ease and Pele alone had said "one of the best players he had seen". Was the first "Rock star" of Football in England or known as the "5th Beatle" which doesn't surprise you when you see pics of him during that era. I watched this guy play out here in '83 when I was 13 doing some guest appearance for a team I cannot remember and you could tell he was playing hangover to the max, even in that state he was amazing to watch. RIP George tahnks for the memories the Football World will never forget you.

I love the quotes from the great man
"They say I slept with seven Miss Worlds. I didn't - it was only four. I didn't turn up for the other three." "I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered." sums up his life perfectly R.I.P George

We need more guys who can adopt his kind of game. But i guess that it will most likely never happen again. He is a legend of this sport which i wish i could have seen in action.
