Howdy, I've just ordered myself a tickford snorkel for the AU, and im thinking of using the EF airbox lid and running some 3inch pipe from the box into the bendy slinky-style pipe section, replacing the original skinny bit. Now, the question is, have any of you experienced any problems with this setup? Increased fuel consumption? Valve seals wearing?
I myself doubt that the intake would be a problem, but better to be safe than sorry, eh? Cheers. |

Nope, running the exact thing you described. Picked up an entire EF airbox, top and bottom for $40 bucks (didn't have one, open pod filter), ordered the JMM CAI kit which is pod filter, adaptor, Tickford snorkel and 3 inch pipe to the flexi-pipe and it ran a whole lot better.

It's $190 bucks.
Click the JMM banner at the top of the page to look at what else they have to offer.

Do you need an EF Airbox lid to Run the 3" pipe to first bend or can the AU one be Modded easily for it. Also how large is the opening at the end of the pipe inside an EF air Box lid. i know the output is bigger but it looks to decrease at the end am i right???
