Default Alarms + Immobilisers

Hey there,

Ive just decided to move up in the world from my XF ghia to a AUII xr6 hence a n00b these forums!

My new baby is on the way and I have some beefs with the insurance company. They are ANAL on an aussie approved 3 (three) point immobiliser and the factory is unsuitable apparently.

I intend for this to actually protect my car, so hence will spend upto or over $1000 on an alarm + immobiliser that is worthwhile. My question is, what is compatible with my new car? I kind of like the LCD remotes, but realise you cant have everything. I would like something with microwave if possible. I dont care where i buy it from as long as they are in Victoria and reputable dealer!

What alarms do you have installed?

Thanks for your time!

i should also mention that i really want to use the standard factory remote for controlling this alarm (hate having too many things on the keyring) - is this a possibility?
