I just found an extension for firefox called fasterfox, its a simple tweaking utility to enhance how firefox uses broadband (and dialup to an extent).
Its awesome, pages with heaps of pictures load much much faster, and its completely unobtrusive....Anyone that uses firefox must get this extension. The best part is that you dont have to do anything, it has a selection of preset tweak sets for you to choose from. Go get it. |

Seems very similar to the changes to the commands that were done here sometime ago.
Still nice find...

These extensions are my only reason for using Firefox. Adblock and Redirect Remover are great ones as well, although you need to know a bit of regex if you want to add custom items. Not that difficult, but certainly not beginner stuff.
If you know of any others post them in here too, there are so many on there it's often hard to find the good ones of the bunch. View others here: https://addons.mozilla.org/extension...cation=firefox Last edited by max^power; 24-01-2006 at 06:57 PM. Reason: added link to addins area |

I already had fasterfox. I absolutely love Forcast Fox. I have it set up so that It will tell me the current weather at home, the city or for some odd reason, maleny.
For some reasons, its more fun to let the browser tell me what the weather is like than to look out the window.

Thanks for the link, I also noticed in the bottom right hand corner, the time it takes to load a page. Cheers
