Default Quick Estimate on an XT

Hi guys I just wanted to get an idea of what my car is worth, I just cant afford to keep running a v8 as my daily driver.

68 XT Falcon 302w 4spd single rail with powersteering
- Runs straight gas
- XY bucket seats, blue interior
- new twin exhaust, original cast iron block huggers
- $2000 on new suspension and rubbers (nolathane)
- New clutch (1 mth old)
- New lower ball joints
- New tyres
- Recon brake master cylinder
- Recon XF power steering box custom fitted
- New procomp pc-91 high output e-core coil
- New procomp pc-6al multi spark cdi ignition
- New procomp 8000 series pro billet dizzy

However it needs:
- needs new valve stem seals
- gearbox mount
- front buckets need a retrim and hoodlining has a rip near the rear

The body has little rust, i can get photos of it for anyone interested.

Supposedly ex-cop car but i have no proof of this.

Im looking at $5000 firm, i think this is more than fair but please tell me what you guys think.

Well escapee, it's worth precisely what someone will pay you for it.
There will be those that say $5,000 is OK, or you could get more - but they won't buy it from you.
A selling feature is the XT GT grill which you don't mention, and I am confused as to why a car on straight gas is expensive to run.
Any rust?

So my advice would be to start at $5,000.

You can easily drop the price.

Best of luck with the sale, it seems like a nice car

I don't think $5K is unreasonable.

Its not expensive when i just drive around near home.
Its to work and back which takes 45min each way through peak hour traffic.

Yeah forgot to mention the GT grill, wouldnt be hard to turn into a replica.
There is minor rust, one spot on the passengers side rear wheel arch, and a little on the rear passenger drip rail (needs a quick grind and bog or lead wipe)

I wanted to do the panel shortly but time restraints have stopped that. O by the way I also have wired in relays for all the lights and coil, they are bright as now.

On the other hand if i dont get what i want for it, I wont sell it. It has to goto a good home.

5K - I wish you luck in Today's Market- You'll find it difficult . You might be lucky and find the buyer who really wants it. Good Luck you might just get that right person.
