just a quick question for all you folks that live up there in bundaberg, i have been offered a job up there and want to try and find out what the living expenses are like, before i commit to this job...
also whats to do up there? might help to point out that i live in adelaide where you can live below the poverty line and still be called well off!

I think... Bundy is awesome. The shopping is GREAT!
Meat and Vegies are heaps cheaper than most cities and the Clothes shopping is good as well. Nice little counrty pubs, lots of nice people, Country living, yet everything you need. Some nice beaches. Bargara is very pretty and only 15-20 mins out of town. Good Schools, Hospitals ect. |

I disagree with the above but pends what you call living (i like to live comfartably/well) & it costs plenty to do that. Below the poverty line & still be considered well off WTF.

I grew up there, nice spot, I could sell my place in brisbane and buy 3 houses for the money there. or huge acerage just outa town, agree everthing is there, if you want to buy it, it's there, and then it's only 4 hours drive to brisy, When I was growing up we used to drive the old XT ute to brisy to buy stuff for the farm, I don't think that is so neccessary anymore.

Ah Bundaberg the home of the finest rum in the world, several sugar mills, lots of samll businesses, and wonderfull people
(still wonder why they go to Baraga for a holiday though, Long trip LOL) Used to rep up there and spent 1-2 nights a fortnight in the Park lane motel Oh I still remember the hangovers and trying to survive in workshops, mills, the foundry etc. Would do it all again

Good Place close to everything, not much nightlife though. living is pretty cheap only trouble is decent jobs dont come up often, but you said you have a job lined up so your set
