Default Planning to upgrade my PC

Hey Folks,

I've decided to upgrade computer to the best of everything available for S478 (well the best that i can afford) without going to the new LGA Motherboards with PCI-X etc..

My current configuration is

3.0E P4 HT processor
1Gb DDR 533 RAM (2x 512 Sticks in Dual Channel)
120GB Seagate Hard Disk
Leadtek 6800GT Video Card

Im considering these upgrades

3.2 Extreme Edition Processor
add annother 1Gb of RAM (2x512)
add annother Hard Disk
7800GT Graphics Card

Any suggestions? and does anyone know where i can

find a 3.2EE processor?

Thanks

CB

EE processors are many $$$$$. You may as well upgrade your mobo....

The only site you should need:
http://au.pricespy.biz/

Until there are heaps of programs and games being written for 64 bit, you may as well save your money and get a fast 32bit. There won't be any change with performance.

i just built a pc for a friend, and rekon its a great budget games machine, that can be upgraded in the future easily.

amd 3000 or 3500 venice 939 or better if you have the cash.
gigabyte k8nf9 board
x800gt $230

another friend tried to upgrade his agp 8x computer recently with a 6800gs $360 card, and it went alot slower than a x800gt on a pci e k8nf9 motherboard. i wouldnt waste a 7800 on a agp board, i dont think you will see a good improvement.

Wow... I just looked at some stuff... I should catch up with the scene... Athlon FX-60... Radeon X1900XTX 512MB, GeForce 7900GTX 512MB... Pentium D dual-core's with 2x2MB cache! I only stopped paying attention like a month or two ago too...
