Just saw on news in Sydney that ricer and his mate were killed in Western Sydney after snapping his car in half round a pole.
All this with his 3yr old son in the back seat!!! who thankfully survived with only minor injury. Thank God!!!! It just amazes me... how the hell could anyone do something that stupid with your toddler son in the car and just to compound the problem, he had a space saver spare wheel on the right rear Im just stunned.. What a tool, what an absolute tool :

Even with just your mate in the car, you'd have to be a ********.
Good to hear the young bloke's alright.

What were the circumstances for the accident to happen?
Thankfully the little boy is ok but he is now going to be growing up without a dad, how sad!!! Last edited by fiery; 18-03-2006 at 07:09 PM. |

I only came in half way through the story. They said he was overtaking when he lost control.

I'm not sure overtaking someone constitutes being called a A$$hole. Anyway, the driver was killed. So I guess he learn't a pretty good lesson |

Taking anyone elses life in your hands should make you drive smarter. When it just yourself its one thing, when 1 other person gets in the car its a whole new ball game. How sad not having a father now. Poor family

I just did a search considering a few hostile type responses in here.. was wondering what on earth had been reported.. Strangely enough it was simply reported as Bucknaked said........ 'he was overtaking'
They didn't share if he was speeding, driving recklessly, drunk, on drugs, or what the heck ever...... Gee some people are so quick to judge without facts.... What if something innocent happened (tyre blow out etc)....can happen to anyone anytime. Take a moment to think about how both these mens families are feeling now, and take heart in thinking how lucky the little boy was to survive but in 10 years or so he will be told that he was in the car that his daddy died in!!!!!!!! :( |

I have not seen the footage yet the only thing I have heard was that it was a skyline - But that does not mean that they are automatically speeding. I will give them the benefit of the doubt until proven wrong - That is the basis for our legal system, and what should be part of societies values. How often have you driven with your goddaughter at 100km/hr? If one of your tyres blowout at that speed there is a good chance you may crash your car... |

Following taken from News.com.au:
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117...5-1242,00.html "A THREE-year-old boy has survived a horror crash of a high-performance sports car in which two young men died in Sydney early today. Police say the Nissan GT Skyline shattered into three pieces when the driver apparently lost control on a suburban Merrylands street and slammed into a tree at 12.45am (AEDT) today. The driver and front seat passenger, both in their 20s, were killed instantly. The three-year-old boy, the only other person in the car and seated in the back, escaped with minor injuries. He was taken to Westmead Childrens Hospital."

To snap the car in half, there's obviously some pace behind the vehicle. If the driver wasn't doing anything he wasn't supposed to be, then yes it's simply an unfortunate shame.
I admit I probably jumped the gun a bit, but I think that had more to do with the way that Blue worded his first post. Made it sound like something stupid was taking place.

lets be realistic though, you don't break a car into 3 parts around a pole in suburbia if you aren't speeding :(

Thats right... Wouldn't split if ya hit it at a low speed.
12.45am is a bit late to be just ducking to the shops for milk. :

Off topic, but i love how they put emphasis on "High Performance". They may be high performance off the showroom, i don't honestly know
It could have been stock as a rock for all we know, but they make a point of putting it in there... The first thing they'd say about me is "The ute was fitted with a bullbar" :

In Australia, we often over take people. Yeah I know, its not the done thing. Even those who insist on sitting in the overtaking lane doing 10 under the limit. You know you shouldn't use caps locks. people think your shouting at them. SO TURN IT OFF : BTW, welcome to the forums. |
