Found a 650 DP to be good. Had a 750 VS on but the 650 was better.
Hope that helps

I asked the same question a while back....had a lot of responses but the overall opinion here and elsewhere is 600vac sec is plenty for a stock 351. Yes, there are plenty of stockos running 650dp's and bigger that work but apparently you run the risk of pouring too much fuel down the bores and washing off the oil...not healthy. OR, you size the jets down on the larger carb...bit defeatist really!
Are you running 2v heads?

Mine has a 600vac sec as advised and seems fine- great improvement on the 2 barrel!

Here is the thread I started- much of it refers to the thermo fans but as you get into it, thecarbs gets a few good mentions too. Hope this is useful!

Go for a Holley anything from 500 to 650 with vac seconds will be fine.

Speak to your engine builder or mechanic but 650 sounds like a good size.

Good choice on standed mtr the DP will suck fuel & the car will run rich & seem to be more troulbesome in the holley's. I've used both the DP are good for the track but the vac sec will be more economical & give good performance for the street.
