How hard is it to change the side mirrors on an AU?
I mean the whole thing too. I chipped a fair size chunk out of it about this time last year and figure it's about time to get it fixed.

Simply as taking off a couple of covers, taking out three screws with a phillips head screw driver and unplugging the electronic connection. The reverse for putting the new one in. Just had to replace one on the wifes AU after someone absolutely smashed the other one in half and left it hanging by its cord. And of course they didn't bother to leave a note.

So, you just pop off the outside cover, unscrew some screws, unplug power, new mirroe on, do the reverse and it's done?
Sounds too easy.

Swing your door open and you will see one grommet near the weather strip, remove the small round cover that clips into the door trim to find another grommet (a pair of needle nose pliers makes it real easy to get it out through the door trim and a magnetised screwdriver also helps here to avoid dropping the screw down inside the door trim) then third and finally the little black triangular shaped cover that just clips onto the door directly behind the mirror. Gently rip this cover off and you'll find the third screw ( from memory its also covered by a grommet) then it is as simple as HOTC2R described unplug, replug, and rescrew back on.
